PORTRAITS:
Q: What should I wear for my portraits?
A: Portraits will always look best with solid colors. Try to avoid wearing white,
especially outdoors as it is difficult to balance with skin tones. Avoid stripes, plaid,
or busy patterns in you clothing. If you are having a group of people photographed,
the more similar your clothing, the better it will look.
Q: How do I see my proofs?
A: We post all proofs to our online viewing site. You will need a computer and an
internet connection to view proofs from our studio. You may also order prints
directly from the viewing site.
Q: Can you do 'on location' photography, or only studio photos?
A: We can do either location or studio photos.
Q: How long does it take to process my photos so that I may view them online?
A: Typically they will be posted within a week. This varies depending on time of
year and studio workload.
Q: How long does it take to receive reprints.
A: Reprints are usually delivered within two weeks of payment received.
Q: Do we pay for the photo session up front?
A: Yes. All work is due in full before services are performed. Otherwise you will
need to reschedule your session until payment can be made.
Q: Do we pay for reprints up front?
A: Yes. Reprint orders will not be processed until full payment is received.
Q: How long do we have to order photos?
A: Your online event is posted for three months, at which point it will expire. If you
fail to order your prints before that time, you will need to pay $20 to repost the
images for an additional three months.
Q: Are we allowed to make copies of our photos or save them from the website?
A: No. Reproducing or saving any of our images is a violation of federal copyright
law. Black Forest Photography is the only legal means of obtaining copies, either
print or electronically. Violators will be punished to the fullest extent of federal law.
